YOUTH PLAYER/COACH INDIVIDUAL 

 REGISTRATION

 

 REGISTRATION AND INSURANCE (ACCIDENT- MEDICAL/DENTAL AND LIABILITY) IS INCLUDED IN THE REGISTRATION FEE AS WELL AS POSTAGE AND HANDLING.  REGISTRATION AND INSURANCE GOES WITH THE PLAYER/COACH AND IS GOOD FROM SEPT. 1, 2023 TO AUG. 31, 2024 NO MATTER WHAT TEAM THE PLAYER PLAYS ON OR WHAT ASSOCIATION THE TEAM PLAYS WITH (SANCTIONED OR NON-SANCTIONED USA SOFTBALL EVENTS INCLUDING HIGH SCHOOL AND YOUTH BASEBALL).  PLAYERS OR COACH $500 DEDUCTIBLE.

Note to Coaches:  Each Coach or Player 18 Years of age and older is required to complete the Background Check and take the U.S. Center for SafeSport Online Certification Course.

 

Please note that all Adult Coaches, Players and Administrators (all adults on the field or in the dugout) - 18 years of age and older) that work with youth 17 years of age and younger before being Approved must pass a Background Check and SafeSport Certification,  SafeSport was mandated a part of Federal Law by the Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe Sport Authorization Act of 2017.  There is no additional cost  for the SafeSport Training and it is an online course located on the bottom tab of your Registration Home Page labeled SafeSport.  

 

To take your Background Check ($17) and SafeSport Certification (no fee) - Coaches will go to https://www.registerusasoftball.com and scroll down below the Login to: "Think You May Already Have and Account or Want to Create One".  If your Team/League Administrator has Registered you, you will already be in the system and will be given your Login Information.  Once you Login, Go down to the Background Check and SafeSport tabs at the bottom of your HomePlate and complete both of these requirements * they can be done in any order.  You will use your USA Softball Registration Member ID as your Membership Registration Number to Register in SafeSport.

2024 USA SOFTBALL

12U All-American Games

12U All-America Games Regional Qualifier Information - April 6th, Olathe, KS

 

Register Online (must notify Iowa Commissioner before registering)

 

Team Selection:

The USA Softball All-American Games will feature 24 teams from across the United States. Each Region will select two teams to represent their geographical area (20). In addition, the top three regions in team registrations will receive an additional berth (3) and there will be one regional host berth (1). Each team consists of 15 athletes and 2 coaches.

NOTE : Players must tryout in the region where they live or in the region where their team is from.

Each Region is responsible to select athletes and coaches to represent their region. All selection processes must meet basic requirements as outlined below:

Eligibility Requirements:

1. All players must have the USA Softball Individual Player insurance
2. Must be age eligible for the 12u Division

3. Each team is limited to 4 players from the same travel team. If more than 4 players from the same travel team are selected as All-Americans, they must be distributed as evenly as possible among that Region’s teams.

HPP (HIGH PERFORMANCE PROGRAM) IDENTIFIERS 

Known as The Pipeline to the Women’s National Team, the USA Softball High Performance Program (HPP) will identify a pool of athletes to train, compete and represent USA Softball through domestic and international competition. The program will focus on providing an equal opportunity for players to show their talent while growing the game of softball in the United States and remaining inclusive to all that wish to participate and develop their skills.

YOUTH ACE COACHING CERTIFICATION ONLINE CLINIC

ALTHOUGH WE ENCOURAGE ALL COACHES TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION THROUGH THE ACE COACH CERTIFICATION PROGRAM, ONLY COACHES OF TEAMS THAT PARTICIPATE IN A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT (I.E. STATE TOURNAMENT, NATIONAL QUALIFIER, OR NATIONAL) MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE COACH ON THE FIELD/IN THE DUGOUT THAT IS ACE CERTIFIED.  EACH STATE TOURNAMENT TEAM ASST. COACH OR OTHER ADULTS ON THE FIELD OR IN THE DUGOUT MUST RECEIVE A BACKGROUND CHECK.  THE BACKGROUND CHECK IS INCLUDED IN THE ACE CERTIFICATION.  BOTH THE ACE CERTIFICATION ($25 FOR 1ST YEAR COACHES AND $20 FOR 2ND, 3RD AND 4TH YEAR COACHES) OR THE BACKGROUND CHECK ($9) IS AVAILABLE ONLINE BY CLICKING ON THE BUTTON ABOVE.

ACE Coaches may view the online training video certification program at their leisure to obtain their ACE Coaching Certification and will receive the added benefit of $5M of liability insurance, ACE Coaching Manual, Background Check, Certification Card, as well as emails and blogs throughout the course of the season containing helpful coaching tips and coaching advice from Mike Candrea, well known coach of the Univ. of Arizona Wildcats and former coach of the USA Women’s National Team. 

This is also an excellent way for leagues to certify, train and background check their league coaches.
